In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.
The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
